Modernization of server IT infrastructure

A significant part of the Customer’s server equipment was outdated equipment with an already completed life cycle, there was an acute shortage of computing and disk resources, there was no centralized backup system, there was not enough free capacity for the further growth of the company. In such conditions, there was a need to modernize the IT infrastructure of the Customer.

After a thorough analysis of the existing IT infrastructure, an IT architecture was created that meets all the points of the technical tasks:

– high local availability of business applications is provided,

– effective mechanisms for administration and monitoring have been implemented,

– a mechanism has been laid for upgrading the complex to the level of a disaster-proof solution with automation capabilities.

The HPE Synergy 12000 Composable Infrastructure and HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8000 Disk Array play a key role in the solution. The required level of performance of the disk subsystem is achieved thanks to a well-configured 3PAR StoreServ 8000 disk array with hardware ASIC, which includes both classic disks and high-speed SSD drives. The hardware basis of the backup subsystem was the HPE StoreOnce disk library c support for deduplication of stored data.

A successful transfer of the Customer’s key business applications to new equipment was implemented, the time of unavailability of business applications was reduced to a minimum.
